HYBRID FIG

The Hybrid Fig is a cultivated variety of the traditional fig tree, selectively bred for enhanced fruit size, sweetness, disease resistance, and adaptability to different climates. Like all fig trees, it is a deciduous, fruit-bearing plant with broad, lobed leaves and a spreading growth habit.

Hybrid figs typically produce larger and sweeter fruit, often with thinner skin and better storage potential compared to wild or traditional varieties. The trees grow to about 10–15 feet tall and can be pruned to stay compact, making them ideal for home gardens, small orchards, or even large containers.

They prefer full sun, well-drained soil, and moderate watering. With minimal care, hybrid fig trees can start producing fruit within 1–2 years after planting. The fruits are rich in fiber, antioxidants, and natural sugars — perfect for eating fresh, drying, or using in jams and desserts.
