LYCHEE TREE

The Lychee tree is a tropical evergreen tree native to southeastern China, widely cultivated for its delicious, juicy fruits. It grows to a medium height, typically 20–40 feet, with dense, glossy green foliage that provides good shade.

The fruit is small, round to oval, with a rough, reddish outer skin that peels away to reveal translucent, juicy, and sweet flesh surrounding a single large seed. Lychees are highly prized for their unique flavor and aroma and are enjoyed fresh, dried, or in beverages and desserts.

Lychee trees prefer warm, humid climates with well-drained, slightly acidic soils. They require full sun and consistent moisture, especially during flowering and fruit development. While slow to establish, they can be highly productive once mature.
