ROSE REBIT CALLATHEA

Rose Painted Calathea, also known as Calathea roseopicta, is a vibrant and decorative indoor plant known for its striking foliage. Its broad, rounded leaves feature deep green surfaces highlighted by rose-pink or pale purple markings that look like they’ve been hand-painted. The undersides of the leaves are rich purple, adding to the plant’s visual appeal.

Native to the tropical rainforests of South America, this Calathea prefers indirect light, high humidity, and consistently moist but well-draining soil. It is sensitive to dry air and chemicals in tap water, so filtered water and regular misting are recommended. Like other members of the prayer plant family, its leaves move with the light — folding up in the evening and opening again in the morning.
